Incorporated in 1982, Battery Research and Testing, Inc. is the oldest independent stationary battery service company in America with over 40 years of experience.

We specialize in stationary battery maintenance which includes but is not limited to, PM Programs, Load Testing, the IOVR+ Special Recovery Process, Managed Battery Monitoring, Installations/Removals/Disposals, and have Mobile Battery Systems for deployment.

As an independent stationary battery service company, we have no allegiance to any battery manufacturer and can concentrate on doing what is best for the end user. As independently operating professionals, our evaluations are reliably unbiased, objective and accurate.

Founded by Peter DeMar

Peter served on the IEEE Battery Working group for over 30 years and contributed to multiple IEEE Standards and Recommended Practices, was the recipient of the Battcon 2009 Hall of Fame award. In addition, he is the inventor of the IOVR and IOVR+ processes which are utilized to recover VRLA batteries from PCL. These processes are referred to in the IEEE 1188-2014 as Special Recovery Processes. He also is the inventor of the two NCDI℠ (Nodular Corrosion Detection Processes) which are the only known means of detection of and quantification of nodular corrosion caused issues within vented lead acid cells before its presence is visually observable.
